Congratulations to Worcestershire County Council; Keith Corbett, Ringway Contracts Manager; Andrew Naylor of Leeke Associates; and Jordan Shimwell and Steve Adams of Nu-Weld Engineering for winning the Bridges Awards 2023 New Life category at the prestigious awards ceremony last night held at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

The Austcliffe Cast Iron Footbridge which spans the River Stour (reputedly the oldest such structure in the UK) was recognised as a project which made excellent use of existing materials, refurbishment of 240 year old cast iron spans, extensive use of recycled type 1 and Eurovia produced Reco-foam, employment of local supply chain partners (Nu-Weld), enhancement of the local environment and connecting local communities.
